Large Format Printing

How large of a print can you make?
We have a HP5000 which is caple of printing onto 60" paper. The printer can actually print 59" wide with ink and we can print virtually any length. Some papers are only available to us in smaller sizes however.

How much does it cost?
Please see our pricing page here.

What materials can you print on?
Please see our large format section here.

How should I setup my files for large format printing?
You will be able to find a downloadable guide here shortly.

What resolution should I use?
You will be able to find a downloadable guide here shortly.

How long will my print last?
We use a UV fade resistant and archival ink. The durability of a print is mostly determined by the paper/substrate it is printed on and wheather or not it is an indoor print or not. Outdoor materials, such as our full color banners will last 2-3 years outdoors before fading. Indoor papers will last approximatly 50 years in indirect sun. Some of our archival papers will last upwards of 200+ years when kept under glass and out of direct sun.

What about color matching / pantone matching?
Please see our color section.

Trade Shows

Do you sell displays?
Yes! We have a number of different displays. In the future you will be able to browse our selection by clicking here.

How long does it take to get a display?
Generally speaking, it takes about 1 week to get a display and print, AFTER final artwork approval. However we can rush your order to fit your deadline.

Vinyl Graphics

What is a vector graphic?
A Vector graphic is different than Raster graphics such as jpeg's bmp's and gif's in that they use math instead of pixels to define shapes. Vector graphics are also resolution independent which means no matter how big you print them they will always be clear. Below you see two graphics. When you just look at "TEST" both files look the same, howver when you enlarge a pice of it, it becomes clear that the vector file is better.

Can I make my jpeg/bmp/tif etc into a vector file?
It depends. There are programs such as Adobe Streamline and Corel Trace that can convert simple graphics into vector graphics. Sometimes though it is too much for these programs and you must trace out the whole graphic by hand which can be qutie time consuming. Things like photographs can never become vector graphics because they would be far too complicated to be usable.
